Where are we?

Mapua is a peaceful coastal village located on a picturesque peninsula just off the Coastal Highway, halfway between Nelson and Motueka in the Top of the South Island.  This region is known for its three national parks; Kahurangi, Abel Tasman and Nelson Lakes.   The Mapua area is renowned for its stunning scenery and is a summer playground offering kayaking, boating, swimming, windsurfing and waterskiing.

It’s a perfect choice for that special day out.  Stop for breakfast on your way to Kaiteriteri, or lunch between visits to potteries and wineries, or experience Wharfside Restaurant and Bar as the highlight in your day out in the Nelson region.
